Pajama Party at Happy Babies & Infant Reflexology

This past week was Pajama Week at Happy Babies! The babies & tots had a blast reading favorite sleepytime books like Goodnight Moon and The Going to Bed Book (both of those are our personal favorites over here!) and singing lullabies while snuggling and rocking.

Pajama week provided the babies & tots several opportunities to snuggle and build secure attachments to their primary caregiver. We also learned about reflexology as a way to comfort or calm a little one by applying gentle pressure to specific areas of the foot.

Infant & Toddler Reflexology
A wonderful way to sooth or comfort a cranky, teething, over-tired, or gassy baby.
Apply gentle pressure or light massage to a specific area of the foot to help a baby with whatever seems to be causing them distress.

This can be done while rocking before nap or bedtime, after a bath, during a diaper change, while playing on the floor, while baby wearing in a front carry... really anytime your little one could use a little help soothing a discomfort.

Remember that skin-to-skin contact is a powerful way to give your baby comfort and boost the bond you share, so ditch the socks and footie pajamas and use reflexology techniques with bare little feet whenever possible!
